so i attended a watchnight service at the end of last year, and the preacher asked us to ask God for one thing for the new year. well, you guessed it, I asked for wisdom. and i remembered to start reading proverbs from the beginning.
i was reading proverbs 3 and I got to verse 5 and realized that it doesn't say "... lean not alone on your own understanding". it says lean not (at all) on your own understanding. It kinda shocked me, because that song always had the 'alone' in there.
that just tells me that my own understanding is not good for me. i sure am very happy that i read this at the beginning of the year.
